Mission:

Steel Bridge Creative Foundation (SBCF) is dedicated to fostering Sturgeon Bay’s creative community through collaboration, opportunity, and activism. Originally established as a Citizens for Our Bridge (CFOB) as a means for preserving the Michigan Street Bridge, it now serves as a vital entity supporting and promoting artists in the creation of original and meaningful works, as well as offering continued support and respect for the Sturgeon Bay’s historical downtown.

We believe that a stronger society is built when the creative spirit is given encouragement, community, space, and the tools to make it happen.

Our mission and values shine through three annual events, Steel Bridge Day, Tamboween, and Love on Holiday, where SBCF brings musicians together to create and perform original music. SBCF is housed in the heart of the Tambourine Collaboratory which is owned by the Holiday Music Hotel. The building holds studio space for many artists and musicians, multiple recording studios, and two small professional concert venues; the Tambourine Lounge and the Lab, which are both stocked with an array of donated instruments and technology for high-end sound and performance. The public is welcome to attend and/or perform at WRiTERS’ NiGHT which is a weekly open mic where musicians and poets are invited in to showcase their own original pieces. Both venues also offer concerts for visiting musicians and poetic events. It has become a hub for artistry and admiration of original art and collaborative opportunities.
